What does it mean to be an Expert Learner?

Being an "Expert Learner" is the most explicit and direct goal of UDL. It is seen, for example, in the "goal" row of the newest UDL Guidelines.

  1. Thank you, Eric, for this informative video! Will be happy to use this with my class of teacher candidates. I want them to not only think of themselves as teachers who develop expert learners but as teachers who themselves are expert learners. This video will be a catalyst for that conversation!
